New Research Paradigms in Instructional Technology: An Inquiry.
Driscoll, Marcy P.; Dick, Walter
Educational Technology Research and Development, v47 n2 p7-18 1999
Reviews the current state of research paradigms in the field of instructional technology from the perspective of research standards and paradigms recommended by Leslie J. Briggs in early 1980s. Analysis of articles published in "Educational Technology Research and Development" from 1992 to 1996 revealed that relatively few research paradigms were used and that studies did not, for the most part, adhere to Brigg's (1984) Culture Four standards. Contains 34 references. (Author/AEF)
