Two multi-disciplinary case studies of the patterning of incidents of disruptive behavior in English comprehensive schools are discussed. The global school approach, using data gathered by non-observational monitoring, provided information not usually found on timing and the nature of disruptions and offers an alternative to piecemeal intervention strategies.
