Les Heterogeneites dans l'Enseignement des Mathematiques (Heterogeneities in Mathematics Teaching).
Sarrazy, Bernard
Educational Studies in Mathematics, v49 n1 p89-117 2002
Examines the question of the link between the heterogeneities that can characterize a didactic system and the teaching of mathematics. Defines three types of heterogeneity--exogenous, perididactic, and didactic--and posits teaching as a process that regulates these heterogeneities. Concludes that, unlike in language teaching, there is no link between perididactic and exogenous heterogeneity. (Author/MM)
