Studied the effects of the following variables on the academic avhievement of freshmen in a predominantly Black College: (1) size of the high schools from which they graduated; (2) parents' educational backgrounds; (3) proposed college major; (4) employment status; and (5) residential status. Found no statistically significant relationship between these factors and grade point average. (GC)
