Argues that the educational system assumes it must prepare students for a highly competitive work society, although the necessity for competition will decline as material necessities and luxuries are increasingly available; as society moves towards a leisure civilization and an equitable distribution of goods, change from competititon to cooperation is considered strongly indicated.
