The Development of Professional Developers: Learning To Assist Teachers in New Settings in New Ways.
Stein, Mary Kay; Smith, Margaret Schwan; Silver, Edward A.
Harvard Educational Review, v69 n3 p237-69 Fall 1999

The goals of professional development should be to develop teachers as individuals and foster self-sustaining learning communities. (SK)
