This Issue: Refocusing on Learning [and] On How a Research Community Might Learn in an Era of Paradigm Proliferation.
Donmoyer, Robert
Educational Researcher, v26 n1 p4,34 Jan-Feb 1997
Reviews "On Claims That Answer the Wrong Questions" (James Greeno, 1997) that argues differences between situative and cognitive views of learning are more conceptual than empirical and suggests a need for something greater than empirical evidence to assess the relative worth between these competing perspectives. Additionally reviewed is "Situative Versus Cognitive Perspectives: Form Versus Substance" (Anderson, et al. 1997) which disagrees with Greeno. (GR)
