Preparing Principals for New Roles: Advice from the Field.
Edlefson, Carla
Mid-Western Educational Researcher, v13 n4 p11-16 Fall 2000
Interviews with 10 high school administrators who were leaders of innovation identified three new roles for principals relevant to administrator education: principal as leader of leaders, as advocate, and as catalyst for change. Administrator education programs should focus on leadership of change, continuous improvement, development of learning opportunities outside the college classroom, and quality assignments for administration students.
