George Dunlop saw the need for a scholarly outlet for educational research in Alberta, helped establish the "Alberta Journal of Educational Research," and actively fostered educational research at the University of Alberta until his death in 1966. Dunlop awards are presented for outstanding master's theses and doctoral dissertations by Canadians in educational research. Includes abstracts of five winners. (SV)
