Contrary to previous research findings, elementary and secondary school teachers appear to want sole decision-making authority in federation matters but not in many other areas such as economics, discipline, curriculum, and home-school problems. Rather, they desire more consultative involvement prior to the principal's ultimate decision. (SB)
