Investigating whether students who had student taught would respond differently to the Minnesota Teacher Attitude Inventory than students who had not, this study demonstrated that subjects who had taught scored significantly higher, suggesting the experience may create more positive attitudes toward students and teaching. Two marriage counseling approaches were explored: (1) couples received counseling one hour per week for an indefinite time period; (2) couples were seen two hours biweekly for five visits. Couples receiving biweekly counseling reported more satisfaction and optimism and tended to be more committed to the counseling relationship. (DS)
