The Contextual Correlates of the Relative Expenditures of Classroom Time on Instruction and Behavior: An Exploratory Study of Secondary Schools and Classes.
Sirotnik, Kenneth A.
American Educational Research Journal, v19 n2 p275-92 Sum 1982
This study follows from the premise that there is a positive and substantial correlation between achievement and instructional time. Specifically, the author describes multivariate relationships existing between proportions of time spent on instruction and behavior in the classroom, and six potentially important contextual variable subsets.
