Fundamental Points of View of Teachers on Education: An Investigation of the Kerlinger and Kaya Attitudinal Scale.
Adwere-Boamah, Joseph; And Others
Educational Research Quarterly, v7 n2 p17-20 Sum 1982
The Attitude Toward Education Scale (ATES) is a self-report instrument designed to measure two global educational philosophical orientations--progressivism and traditionalism. The scale was administered to 250 teachers; the responses were subjected to principal component analyses. The results support Kerlinger and Kaya's component conceptual scheme of educational orientations. (Author/PN)
