The Barrio Schools.
So, Alvin Y.
Educational Research Quarterly, v10 n4 p10-17 1986-87
Analyses of the national High School and Beyond data set revealed that the barrio schools were comparable to White schools on physical facilities, financial situation, teacher's salary, and formal curriculum. However, barrio schools were also dominated by White teachers, instituted with an insensitive curriculum, and isolated from the local community. (Author/LMO)
