The Impact of an Alternative High School Program on Students Labeled "Deviant."

Using an ethnographic approach, this study described the activities of an alternative high school program and explained how the economically disadvantaged students, who had been rejected in conventional school settings, responded to the alternative school environment. According to students, the alternative setting was far more conducive to their overall learning. (Author/BS)
