Teachers' Perceptions of the Frequency of Evaluation and Assessments of Their Effort and Effectiveness.
Natriello, Gary
American Educational Research Journal, v21 n3 p579-95 Fall 1984
Drawing on the evaluation and authority theories of Dornbusch and Scott, this paper examines the relationship between teacher perceptions of the frequency of evaluation activity and their assessments of their effort and effectiveness. Urban, middle school teachers were surveyed. Findings included a positive relationship between evaluation frequency and teacher leverage. (BS)
