Aptitude-Treatment Interactions in an Experiment on Teacher Effectiveness
Winne, Philip H.
American Educational Research Journal, 14, 4, 389-409, F 77
Eight teaching treatments which varied structuring, soliciting and reacting behaviors were utilized in ecology lessons for 399 sixth-grade students. Analysis of multiple choice, attitude and perception of teaching variables showed aptitudes to be major predictors of teacher, treatment and aptitude-treatment interaction effects. Changes are suggested for teacher effectiveness research. (Author/JAC)
