Best or Worst of Two Worlds? A Study of Asian Adolescents.

An acculturation scale completed by 262 male and 203 female Asian adolescents in Britain and their family background information were compared to a 1974 sampling of 43 boys and 55 girls. In the current group, girls scored higher than boys, Hindus and Sikhs higher than Muslims, and those from manual work backgrounds lower than those from nonmanual backgrounds. (SK)
