Direct or Indirect Instruction?: An Evaluation of Three Types of Intervention Programme for Assisting Students with Specific Reading Difficulties.
Somerville, David E.; Leach, David J.
Educational Research, v30 n1 p46-53 Feb 1988

The direct instruction program resulted in the greatest gains. Post-intervention questionnaires completed by subjects, parents, and teachers indicated that perceived success differed significantly from measured success. (CH)
