Reciprocal Relationships between Attitude toward Mathematics and Achievement in Mathematics.
Ma, Xin
Journal of Educational Research, v90 n4 p221-29 Mar-Apr 1997
This study examined reciprocal relationships between attitude toward mathematics and mathematics achievement. High school seniors from the Dominican Republic completed mathematics achievement tests and a questionnaire on mathematics attitudes. Results indicated that reciprocal relationships existed, suggesting that the reciprocal nature between attitude and achievement can substantially modify their causal relationship. (SM)
