Family Influences on Educational Expectations of Late Adolescents.

Examined how family and parenting variables influenced late adolescents' educational expectations. Surveys of parents and students when students were high school seniors and two years beyond high school indicated that socioeconomic status most strongly related to educational expectations. Adolescents' perceptions of parents' personal involvement and parents' reports of their own behavior both related to educational expectations. (SM)
