Letting Go of Control to the Learners: The Role of the Internet in Promoting a More Autonomous View of Learning in an Academic Translation Course.

English-speaking Turkish translation students (n=90) were taught to apply Internet searches to translation tasks. Pre/post program data indicate that student learned to reflect critically on their learning and to shift from teacher-dependent to autonomous approaches.
