Conjoint Retention of Maps and Related Discourse.
Kulhavy, Raymond, W.; And Others
Contemporary Educational Psychology, v10 n1 p28-37 Jan 1985

Results support the notion of conjoint retention which assumes that related verbal/spatial arrays are stored in a fashion which allows separate use of both formats during retrieval. (Author/BS)
