The Relationship between Personality Adjustment and Success in Remedial Programs in Dyslexic Children.
Murray, Michael E.
Contemporary Educational Psychology, v3 n4 p330-39 Oct 1978
Several traits were measured in dyslexic and normal children: self-concept, achievement motivation, general manifest anxiety, test anxiety, and behavior deviance. Dyslexic children showed poorer personality adjustment; those dyslexic children who were successful in remedial training showed better emotional adjustment. Implications for remediation and treatment are discussed. (Author/RD)
