Changing Children's Overt Behavior Related to Self-Esteem by the Use of Behavior Modification.
Gurney, Peter
Educational Psychology, v7 n2 p91-102 1987
Reports on an experiment designed to monitor the effects of behavioral modification upon the frequency of positive self-referent verbal statements and overt behaviors considered to be related to global self-esteem among 14 maladjusted boys aged 10 to 12. Results showed significant gains for the experimental group which received modelling, instruction, and contingent rewards. (Author/JDH)
