Student Teachers' Attitudes towards the Inclusion of Children with Special Needs.
Hastings, Richard P.; Oakford, Suzanna
Educational Psychology: An International Journal of Experimental Educational Psychology, v23 n1 p87-94 Jan 2003
Examines the effect of a special needs category (intellectual disabilities versus emotional and behavioral problems) and student teachers' (n=93) training concerning their attitudes toward inclusion. Reports that neither category affected their attitudes. Determined that teachers were more negative about the impact students with emotional and behavioral problems have on others and the school environment. (CMK)
