Head-Dylla, Candace
Journal of Cases in Educational Leadership, v12 n3 p33-51 2009
This case is intended for student use in a university classroom to examine the complex dilemmas school leaders may face when working to create opportunities for a more inclusive educational environment. Inclusive education may mean different things to different groups and educational leaders need to consider varied perspectives as they develop their own philosophies of inclusive education that balance the interests of students with and without disabilities, drawing upon student, parent, teacher, support staff, and administrator perspectives, and considering these perspectives in terms of academic, social, and personal goals.
