On Building Learning Communities: A Conversation with Hank Levin.
Brandt, Ron
Educational Leadership, v50 n1 p19-23 Sep 1992
Hank Levin's educational vision is to accelerate learning of disadvantaged children and bring at-risk students into academic mainstream by end of their elementary school years. Levin believes that, if educators exposed all children to richest experiences and also connected with children's own experiences, their culture, and their community, mainstreaming them and involving parents would be no problem.
