What We Know about What Students Don't Know.
Anrig, Gregory; Lapointe, Archie E.
Educational Leadership, v47 n3 p4-5,7-9 Nov 1989
According to National Association of Educational Progress (NAEP) survey data, student achievement improved between 1971 and 1980, especially for basic skills and mostly minority populations, and has remained level since 1980. Schools need to examine instructional practice from a student's perspective, promote higher order learning skills, and involve parents. Includes three references. (MLH)
