Instructional or Managerial Leadership: The Principal Role!
Jazzar, Michael
Journal of Cases in Educational Leadership, v7 n3 p28-34 2004
"Instructional Or Managerial Leadership: The Principal Role" is a case study written to challenge the beliefs of graduate students preparing for educational leadership roles and educational leaders already in these positions as to the importance of the principal as an instructional leader. This case explores communication between superintendents and principals regarding the importance of the principal as an instructional leader. The case study, based upon insight from approximately fifty superintendents and five hundred principals, uses fictitious names and places to encourage participatory discussion. (Contains 1 table.)
