Eliciting Information about Knowledge Structures in Persons with Mental Retardation through the Use of Dynamic Assessment and Prototype Theory.
Zeppuhar, Mary Ellen
Education and Training in Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, v34 n1 p99-109 Mar 1999
This study with 22 adults with mild to moderate mental retardation examined the nature of knowledge structures in this population as well as effects of presentation methods and response methods on ability to classify items. Results indicated major effects for disability severity, insignificant findings for presentation method, and a trend toward significance for the output-mode main effect with visual output exceeding verbal output.
