An Approach To Evaluating School-to-Work Initiatives: Post-Secondary Activities of High School Graduates of Work-based Learning.
Griffith, James
Journal of Vocational Education & Training: The Vocational Aspect of Education, v53 n1 p37-60 2001
A study of 4,014 high school graduates 1 year after graduation found that career and technical education participants earned more, experienced greater relevance of secondary to postsecondary education, and felt better prepared for work. Internship participants felt prepared for work but had lower earnings and fewer quarters worked. Improvements in school-to-work programs were recommended. (Contains 47 references.) (SK)
