Communication Based Emotional Support Differences between Professors and Teaching Assistants

The objective of this study was to investigate undergraduate students' perceptions of their professors' and teaching assistants' communication based emotional support and immediacy behaviors. Also, the study focused on sex differences between professors and teaching assistants. The study found that undergraduate students are able to perceive differences between their professors' and teaching assistants' communication behaviors.
