A group of 88 physicians and 126 diabetic patients were surveyed before and 6 and 12 months after doctors' participation in the Office Practice Environment Negotiations Program. The continuing medical education needs of 73 physicians in semirural towns compared with those of 60 urban doctors found the former less satisfied with their opportunities for continuing education.
