Enhancing Learning: How Can Learning Theory Help?
Mann, Karen V.
Journal of Continuing Education in the Health Professions, v10 n2 p177-86 1990
Social Cognitive Theory describes an ongoing dynamic interaction of individual, environment, and behavior as well as five basic capabilities of individuals: symbolizing, forethought, vicarious, self-regulatory, and self-reflective. These capabilities are considered as they affect human thought and action. Implications of these theories for practice and research in continuing education are explored. (Author)
