Teachers respond favorably to the involvement of counselor educators in inservice training programs. This is a developmental'' approach rather than the crisis consultation'' approach that usually characterizes teachers' relationships with counseling specialists. The implication for counselor educators is that they need to become involved in undergraduate teacher education and inservice workshops for teachers. (Author)
