The Acquisition, Transfer, and Generalization of Requests by Young Children with Severe Disabilities.
McDonnell, Andrea P.
Education and Training in Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, v31 n3 p213-34 Sep 1996
Effects of two instructional trial scheduling formats (massed practice only, versus combined massed practice and distributed practice) on acquisition, transfer, and generalization of explicitly prompted requests were studied with five children with severe mental disabilities, ages 4-8. General case/naturalistic teaching was effective for all children. Only minimal differences in the effectiveness of the two scheduling formats were found. (Author/PB)
