Quality and Equality in the Lives of People with Disabilities: Do Students with Disabilities Think Their Teachers Should Be Allowed To Die?
Sobsey, Dick
Physical Disabilities: Education and Related Services, v13 n1 p19-24 Fall 1994
This paper responds to Wood and May's survey of special education teachers' attitudes toward euthanasia. It is pointed out that the mere existence of attitudes supporting euthanasia does not constitute a validation of such attitudes. The discussion of euthanasia of individuals with severe disabilities is discussed as representative of a fundamental discrimination through which individuals with disabilities are denied the "right to life."
