In a case-managed university support system for students who are deaf or hearing impaired, a rehabilitation counselor with interpreting skills helps individual faculty, students, and staff manage the system of 10 integrated support services. The counselors' primary functions are assessment, planning, linking, monitoring, and advocacy. (MSE)
