Children's Attitudes toward Physical Activity in Classes Taught by Specialist versus Nonspecialist P.E. Teachers.
Patterson, Patricia; Faucette, Nell
Journal of Teaching in Physical Education, v9 n4 p324-31 Jul 1990
Results are reported from a study which compared attitudes of fourth and fifth grade children (N=414) toward physical activity in classes taught by specialists (N=4) versus those taught by nonspecialists (N=7). Findings suggest that teachers play a minimal role in children's attitudes toward physical activity. (IAH)
