The Multidimensional Self-Concept: A Comparison of Gifted and Average-Ability Adolescents.
Pyryt, Michael C.; Mendaglio, Sal
Journal for the Education of the Gifted, v17 n3 p299-305 Spr 1994
Four dimensions of self-concept (academic, social, athletic, and evaluative) were evaluated with 97 junior high school students (45 gifted and 52 average ability). Results indicated that the gifted students differed in self-concept from average-ability students, particularly in the area of academic self-concept. (Author/DB)
