Vocational education could better meet students' needs by moving away from teacher-focused models, as idealism and realism, toward more student-centered curricula. Instead of a pragmatic philosophy, however, reconstructionism provides a framework wherein students can reflect critically on the uses of existing technology and develop new technologies. (JOW)
