Novice and Expert Physical Education Teachers: Maybe They Think and Decide Differently...But Do They Behave Differently? Research Note.
Mars, Hans van der; And Others
Journal of Teaching in Physical Education, v14 n3 p340-47 Apr 1995
This study examined whether selected indicators of effective teaching would differ across three levels of expertise in teaching elementary physical education. Teachers and target students were videotaped during class; teachers' verbal negative feedback data were analyzed. Results indicated that expert teachers were not necessarily more effective than the novices. (SM)
