The Effectiveness of Project DARE: Does It Work?
Kochis, Donna S.
Journal of Alcohol and Drug Education, v40 n2 p40-47 Win 1995
There is little empirical evidence of the success of project D.A.R.E. (Drug Awareness Resistance Education). One hundred ninth grade students from a small, predominately white New Jersey township were randomly selected for the collection of behavioral data. The paucity of recorded drug offenses among both test and control groups most likely reflects lack of apprehension. (JPS)
