Research and personal experiences suggest that women in general, and more specifically women from diverse ethnic and social class backgrounds and women with disabilities, do not have equal opportunities to experience the outdoor world. Discusses some obstacles to access and some measures for dissolving these barriers. Cites the National Association for Outdoor Education's women's network as one positive step. (RAH)
