Surveys and interviews with Halifax businesses and with microcomputer teaching institutes indicated the following: over 70% of businesses offer incentives for computer training, 75% of service industries and 45% of other businesses are concerned about availability of relevant training, and a large gap exists between training in specific packages and their actual use in the workplace.
