Statistical Profile of Doctoral Recipients in Physical Education 1983-1989.

To analyze data and predict trends among physical education doctorates, researchers obtained 1983-89 data from the National Research Council which releases annual reports of earned doctorates granted by U.S. institutions. The article examines institutions, graduation rate, employment, postdoctoral degrees, race/ethnicity, and age, marital, and citizenship status. (SM)
