Early Childhood Educators' Beliefs and Practices of Anti-Bias Curriculum in Rural Areas.
Bullock, Janis R.
Early Child Development and Care, v126 p1-13 Dec 1996
Examined anti-bias beliefs and practices of early childhood educators working in rural areas with white children. Found that directors and teachers understood accreditation standards and goals of anti-bias curriculum related to gender, disabilities, and rejection of children. Issues with which teachers struggled were cultural diversity and program relevance. Teachers considered directors as sources of knowledge, encouragement, and support. (KDFB)
