The Accuracy of Parents' Perceptions of Children of Divorce.
Young, David M.; Bodie, Gordan L.
Early Child Development and Care, v13 n3-4 p309-20 Jan 1984
Investigates the relationship between the self-reported adjustment of children of divorce and their parents' perception of this adjustment. While divorced parents compared favorably to parents from intact nuclear families, divorced parents were inaccurate in three areas concerning their children's feelings and conduct problems, and custodial divorced parents tended to overestimate their children's problems.
