This study sought to discover what motivates undergraduate residential students to enroll in online courses. By exploring this question, we hope to gain a deeper understanding of why students would sign up for courses online which are offered right down the street from their residence. The present study revealed that students tend to enroll in online courses for their flexibility and convenience. Additionally, students find online courses to be just as challenging as face-to-face courses. It is our belief that these findings both fill a gap in the literature as well as aiding future online residential learners and program administrators. (Contains 3 tables.)
